Your inbox,
read for you.

Heed reads the mail that doesn’t need you and drafts replies for the mail that does. The only thing it asks of you is a look at the draft and a tap on Send.

Sam and Lena are waiting on you

Arrives

47

emails on an ordinary day: receipts, updates, newsletters, promotions, and a few people.

Heed reads

44

are marked read and labelled in Gmail, each with a one-line summary in your daily report.

You reply

2

drafts wait for you. The one email Heed wasn't sure about stays unread, for you to decide.

How it works

Connect once. Heed handles every email after that.

New mail is checked every minute. Each email goes one of three ways, and you can see why.

  1. 1

    Connect your Gmail

Sign in with Google and choose the inboxes Heed works on, up to five. Your mail stays in Gmail.

    Gmail only, for now
  2. 2

    Heed sorts what arrives

Your own rules first, then AI. Mail that needs no reply is marked read and labelled Heed/Handled. It never leaves your inbox.

  3. 3

    You only reply

When someone is waiting on you, Heed drafts the reply and lets you know. Read it, change what you like, and tap Send.

    Needs a reply

What you get

Everything an inbox asks of you, done before you open it.

Drafts

Replies that sound like you, and never make things up.

Heed learns your greeting, sign-off and tone from your sent mail. Where a reply needs something only you know, it leaves a blank instead of guessing.

  • Send stays locked until every blank is filled
  • Rewrite in a tap: shorter, warmer, more formal, or a polite no
  • Five seconds to undo after you tap Send

Daily report

One short report a day, instead of a full inbox.

At a time you choose, Heed tells you what it read for you: how many emails, from which account, and anything worth a look first. Every number is counted from your mail, never estimated by AI.

  • A one-line summary of every email it read
  • Undo anything: mark unread, or never auto-read a sender

Ask

Ask your inbox anything, and see where the answer came from.

“Did the landlord reply about the deposit?” Heed searches all your connected accounts and answers with the emails it used, so you can check it yourself.

  • Read-only: Ask can search and read, never send or change anything

Did the landlord reply about the deposit?

Yes. Martin replied on Tuesday: the full deposit will be returned by 15 November1. He also asked for your new address for the cheque2.

Backlog

Thousands of unread emails, cleared in one confirmed tap.

Heed sorts the unread mail from the last 7, 30 or 90 days and shows you what it would mark as read. Nothing changes in Gmail until you say so, and anything that might still need a reply is listed for you.

Sender rules

Always leave a sender for you, always handle them, or never draft for them. For one inbox or all of them.

Instructions

Tell Heed about you, in your own words: “I'm a freelance designer. Recruiters get a polite no.”

Five inboxes, one place

Work and personal Gmail side by side, each with its own colour, style and rules.

Built to be trusted

An assistant with access to your mail should have firm rules. These are Heed's.

They're enforced in code, not left to the AI.

Nothing is sent without your tap

There is no auto-send setting, and there never will be. Every reply waits for you.

The AI never picks who gets a reply

Recipients come from the original email's headers. An email can't trick Heed into writing to someone else.

When unsure, it leaves mail alone

If Heed isn't confident, or the AI is down, the email stays unread and untouched for you.

Never deletes, archives or marks spam

Handled mail is marked read and labelled. It stays exactly where it was in Gmail.

Summaries, not your mailbox

Heed reads email bodies from Gmail when it needs them and doesn't keep them. Summaries expire after 30 days.

Your mail doesn't train anyone's AI

Heed only uses AI providers that don't keep or train on what they're sent.

Heed’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect an account, or delete everything, at any time from the app or the delete account page.

Pricing

Freefor everyone

No Pro tier, no trial, no paywall. Every feature is available to every user.

If Heed saves you time, you can buy me a coffee. It’s never required.

  • Reading, sorting and labelling new mail
  • Reply drafts in your own style
